If I have a significant increase in my income will it effect my special needs child's benefits?
Opwdd/medicaid etc?

Hi,
It probably would be best to speak to your broker or someone from your agency, but in the event that you lose medicaid due to no longer being eligible through income, you can apply for a Medicaid waiver for your child due to a disability etc.
But again, please reach out to your broker, as each case is specific....

Once your child is approved for opwdd they cannot lose Medicaid since it is a waiver that he got due to his disability and nothing to do with income.

She has medicaid even though we didnt always have. But this is a very big salary increase bh. What do u mean by broker? Insurance broker or care manager?

She has Medicaid because she is eligible for opwdd not because of your income!
