For those who use smart, what do you do when it comes to school productions? I respect the "no smart phone rule" but by the time we get the schools dvd, its often a week or so after the event and the excitement wore off. Bit late to share with grandma who couldn't make it to the event. And sometimes school only sends home a cd- not even the DVD.
For those who use flip phones- Ashrecha, but you for sure have a camera! But they're so expensive- IF Confused

you can even get one today!
There's 1 that I saw available for nearly 500!! And it was bit bulky too! Mind you, if it was light weight and a good camera, and affordable, I'd maybe consider using instead of a smart.
I just don't know..... Confused

I have a camera that I use for school events or for events that I'll be filming alot.

I got a small camcorder that takes pics and videos specifically for school performances. I video, upload to YouTube on private, and send the link to grandparents.

It can shoot still images while shooting video?
And something affordable?

And re the you tube private- interesting idea- I didn't know one can do that

It's afew years old by now. A Canon camera was around $600. You shouldn't be having a hard time finding a camera. B&H has a selection, as well as some local electronics/photo stores.

Get a camera that also records video, like canon elph. Under $300. Or get a camcorder, also under $300. Why do you need one over $500?

I bought a camera a while back and use it just for the school productions. It's worth the cost as if kept well will last.
I laugh how the camera roll is only shows and toddlers gan party. If someone would look through they would think we don't take pictures of our kids
