Any recommendations on which reading course to take? I see several different methods out there and wondering which type to look into more/get certified in. What can more children benefit from? What's most in demand? Can you give a brief description of the approach?
For some background - I have a master's in Special Ed and worked with preschool children till now. I'm getting slightly burnt out and see that I enjoy helping my own children learn to read, so am thinking about taking it further....

I believe a good reading specialist gets exposure to as many modalities as she can so she has the tools to help children with all different issues. No one program can help every child.
Especially if you want to be a specialist in reading you would need more than one training. Unless you just want to be an X reading teacher. You get the difference?
