My 16 yr old dd doesn’t want to be a counselor. What else is there for teenagers to do in the long summer vacation?

Some stores hire teens. Some offices will hire them to photocopy, collate and other office type work. She can do other things in camp, specialties, assistant to director...

Then she doesn’t have many options. She can stay home and do whatever random thing she decides each day. That’s the only solution for her. But I’d honestly work on that because she’s going to set herself up for a life of failure. She can’t just do things on her own time and schedule for the rest of her life.

Does she have any hobbies? Would she be interested in learning new skills by taking online courses? Would she be able to start a business making and selling something?

Same situation here!
My daughter has lots of hobbies, but will get upset that all her friends have actual plans and she doesn't. But she really doesn't want to work in a camp! Other places won't hire her, she's too young. She's tried selling, but not successful in my community.
I'd love to offer her other ideas!
