I’m thinking of starting the injections. I think I’d be more inclined to start if I can go to my dr for the weekly injection. The thought of managing it on my own seems scary and I also don’t want my teenage/ middle school kids to find it, ask me questions etc . Is it hard , complicated to give your self the shot? Is there room for error? Either in dosage or something else?

I find it stressful to give myself the injections but I manage. I am not sure about ozempic but I have tried wegovy, mounjaro and zepbound. Mounjaro and zepbound have the same injector and are pretty foolproof. And not very painful. Letting the meds come to room temp makes it more comfortable.

The first time I got the meds, I went to my local urgent care to show me how to inject. The next week, I went and did it while the PA checked that I was doing it right. After that I was able to do it on my own, no problem. It’s a tiny needle and doesn’t really hurt.

I get a bit scared and feeeze up but it’s really easy and painless.

It’s not complicated, not painful and I taught my autistic adult son to do it.
Make sure someone teaches you and you can also watch videos. It’s way easier than it used to be with a syringe.
