I’m sending dinner to a family and I am probably making baked ziti. What else should I send with it that’s kid and adult friendly?
( I’m open to other main dish ideas that are easy and can be dumped into a 9 x 13)

Speaking as a sibling of a recipient and heard every comment from her kids…

Plain noodles- not all kids like with cheese/sauce, so let them put their own ketchup on.
Salad or roasted veggie- but salad vegetables separated if possible because kids can be picky if something they don’t like is touching something else!
Soups are good but please label what kind it is! My sibling once got a green soup and she had no idea if it was zucchini, broccoli, etc.

I would personally send fish to the adults. Baked ziti is not a meal for a lot of adults.

Baked ziti, salad, fish (like salmon), a dessert like cookies

Ty all!
I got some great ideas
I’m going to do fish (for the adults plus some extra)
Baked ziti and plain pasta
Salad with dressing on the side
(Hopefully a soup if I have time)
And cookies

Is that enough?
When families receive suppers from an organization I know they’re relying on it so I want to make sure everyone has plenty to eat

That sounds perfect! You sound like a really special person to make sure it’s perfect for the family. It’s so so appreciated!
Just make sure the quantities are enough. As an extreme example, don’t send one 9x13 pan for 12 people!
