I didn’t even think to read the ingredients but apparently a Jewish brand whole wheat bread has honey in it. How do I know if my baby is ok? Anything I should look out for? At what point can I assume we are in the clear. I’m nervous..

I think the problem is only with raw honey

the main problem is raw honey.

also my pediatrcian told me that the reason honey is poison for babies is because they are missing an enzyme to break it down.. it generally develps at around 6 months of age but because every baby is so different and the risk is high... they tell us to wait until a year to be safe.

so theres a good chance that you're fine either way!

It's really a very, very low risk. The concern is botulism. There's like less than 200 cases a year of that.

Not saying you should do it, but after the fact that wouldn't be concerned.

If it's cooked or baked it's fine. There is a risk of botulism with raw honey
