And that's why I'm doing a theme this year! It's fun having my whole family dress up the same way. It's fun trying to find a bunch of foods that fit our theme. I'm feeling so put together and cute.

Life is hard. I'll take the outlet for creativity and fun.

And you do you. I'm happy to get your apple juice and pretzels in a Ziploc bag, with your kids being a tinker taylor a soldier a sailor.

I am way more creative 😅. My kids are cutely themed. My shalach Manos is a really sweet thing but they don't have anything in common. I'm feeling so proud. It's nice to see the mishloach Manos all stacked neatly.

me too. I find mm stressful but I find using a theme makes it easier, not harder.

plus I really really enjoy seeing people's creativity. it brings me joy.
you do you, as long as you're happy.

I was about ready to let go of the themes when my tweens grew up and decided it was nerdy to not have one.
So now my job is to actually make their chosen theme happen.
Them: mom did your family have a theme when you were a kid?
Me: no everyone dressed up as whatever they wanted.
Them: okay that was in the olden days now everyone has themes.

Me too!
I don't make one every year though only when it's easier that way

I love it, I honestly start thinking about Purim right after Chanukah.
I love coming up with something fun and like a previous poster said, the mishloach manos is actually easier when it's themed.
Once I'm done with mine, I have friends and family that come to me for help with theirs so I'm not bored if anybody's worried LOL
