I went to dr kazlow in Columbia with my newborn about a year ago. He was super understanding and caring. He took all necessary testing and put her onto medication and kept on following every 8-10 weeks till we weaned her off at one point.

How old is your baby OP? Is he spitting up or is it silent reflux? Can you tell us a little more what's going on or do you prefer not to? I'll respect your decision if you rather not discuss

Was just going to recommend him. My baby has been with him since he was two months old. BH the crazy throwing up stopped at about 6 months. Make sure you call the right number, because to they changed it.

He’s really tops, and was unanimously recommended to me when I asked in my community chat. I don’t think I got a single other recommendation.

My baby is 6 months. Spits up, arches back pulls off while nursing, will always take a bottle, never satisfied, screams after eating, up all night, needs to be held upright to be comfy....
Diagnosed by pediatrician. He's on prevacid, pepcid, and probiotics. We live on gripe water, it's the only thing that soothes him.
In Lakewood, the GI that was recommended has an appointment scheduled for us in September Banging head
I'm so desperate, that I'll travel, but want to be sure that it will be worth the trip. I've heard of doctors saying to just wait it out. I don't have time or patience to experience that.

We used Dr Hample in LIJ. I really liked her, but it was like 18 years ago. I have no clue if she's still there.

Dr. Oren Koslow in Morristown is great.
But really, sounds like your baby may have tongue tie. Maybe see Dr. Jackie Hines in Red Bank

I don’t have a specific name, but if you’re in Lakewood I would ask chaim medical or Refuah helpline for a recommendation to a GI in chop. We see a wonderful GI in chop, but he specializes in my child’s dx, so not sure his expertise specifically with reflux.

John F. Thompson, MD in Montefiore. I never used him, but my sister is thrilled!
I loved Dr. David Katzka in Columbia. I am not sure if he sees pediatric.

OP, my daughter had what we thought was bad reflux, it was FPIES. She was vomiting projectile, plus all the symptoms you wrote. Some ideas:
Choose what feels right.
1- You could ask your pediatrician if you could try Neocate or an allergy formula or do allergy testing. My daughter tested positive. She had two regular IGA meditated allergies that she reacted to in the environment with mostly GI symptoms.
2- You could check stool for inflammation and microscopic blood. My daughter's showed inflammation. That can help you see if you need to go down the FPIES route, stomach allergies etc.
3-You could see if there is a specific pattern. How long after eating... Is it worse when you eat certain foods? This can help the GI you ultimately see.
4- Some doctors recommend adding rice cereal to thicken the milk that it should settle and not keep coming up. Ask your doctor. Rice can be an issue with some stomach allergies, if any Dr. is thinking in that direction.
5-Don't shoot me and ignore if it's not your style. You could do energy healing on top of what your doing medically. Many people I know were helped tremendously.

Much luck from a Mom who understands! Know your doing the best you can!

He does not believe in treating reflux in most cases.
OP I was going crazy so I pushed my pediatrician and they agreed to prescribe prescription reflux meds, maybe Zantac? Was a game changer, I gave it for a few months and had no issues when I stopped.
