how much does Mishpacha Family First pay for articles? Should I present a topic before writing an article or present the finished article first? Do they pay guest writers?
Thank you

Just so you know, once you send it in to them, you can’t use it anywhere else even if it was rejected there.

(I think.)

No, once you send it to them you can't send it anywhere else until they decide whether to accept or reject it - which can take 6 weeks. If they reject it then, you can send it other places.

Essays you can send in unsolicited.
Features you need to pitch the concept before you write the article.

For first time writers the pay is 10 cents a word.
Some columns have set rates (like the last page- lifetakes)

There's definitely potential for more than 10 cents for high quality writing. And I think most replies are within a couple of weeks.

That's not legal unless you actually make an agreement as such.

This is not their policy. If it is rejected it can be submitted anywhere else.
