We're planning to go for a couple days beginning of next week.
Would love to hear from those that went about activities to do with kids and recommendations regarding accommodations.

TIA

Dutch wonderland
Kreider farms - car tour of a large milk farm (they may have c"v ice cream at the end)
Lake Tobias - 90 minute drive away but a lot of fun for young kids
Cherry Crest Farms
Find a mom and pop milking farm, we liked that better then the big farms because you get to go more up close. A lot are listed in the tour books.
Horse and buggy ride
Snyders Pretzel Factory

You can also go to Hershey, which is nearby, and go to the zoo, the amusement park, and the factory tour. In Lancaster there is also the Herrs Snack Factory tour, call ahead for reservations. There is a train ride and a train museum in Lancaster as well. Also, don't forget about the incredible outlet shopping!

It depends on the ages of your kids. Dutch Wonderland is wonderful up to age 9-10. You can also go to Hersheys Chocolate World (seperate from Hershey Park) which is free.
We went last year and stayed at Eden Resort, it was great, the grounds are beautiful., with 2 pools, a playground etc. My DH also had minyan every day, he said there were 70 men by Shacharis!

Aaron & Jessica Buggy Ride
(search on line for a coupon that offers $2 off each adult)

Corn Maze
717.687.6843
cherrycrestfarm.com

Best Western Eden Resort Inn & Suites
717.569.6444
where most of the frum people stay. Nice looking place.
Rooms about $120. Suites around 170-190.

Country Inn Suites
717.299.4460
a little out of the way, but not far.
and cheaper than Best Western

Strassburg Railroad Train
(nice train ride... which I am told brings you right to the Corn Maze. So nice idea for kids to take them on the train, landing up at corn maze.)

Hot Air Balloon Rides
(you can either go on a ride....which costs $, or watch them going up for free

Thanks to a tip from a poster on this site..... (you know who you are) which led me to emailing the Lancaster Chabad Rabbi- Rabbi Elazar Green, who responded with the following info regarding Lancaster:

Minyanim - Degel Israel 717-397-0183.
Kosher - Kosher stand at dutch wonderland and at hersheypark
Kreider Farm for CHolov Yisroel, they have to have hebrew letters on the bottle (Otherwise known as pride of the farm. They also give tours that are good for your age kids)
Places that I recommend for your age group:
Dutchwonderland
The Choo CHoo Barn
The Caboose MOtel
Cherry Crest Farm.

The eden is a good hotel.

Thank you ladies for all your help, we had a GREAT time in Lancaster, and recommend it highly to others with young children. Hotel was really nice (Best Western Eden Suites and Resort) and most things are free for kids under 3.
