therefore, she is not the mother of Trig. Sorry to all of you who had hoped for a conspiracy. Now, you can bash her for her choices regarding her birth. If that is all you have, then that this pretty thin. This is a family that takes responsibility and I admire their courage.

Boy, that family has a full plate. I never bought the rumors, anyway, but as I said in the other thread, a child's origins are none of my business, as long as its lovingly raised. I can't imagine myself a mother and wife at 17. Then again, I could hardly imagine it considerably later!

Sarah Palin just announced her 17 year old daughter is pregnant (no the slimy Obamaniac news media didn't make this up. ) What do you think? Should she have declined the nomination? How do you think this will affect the election?

She is. And I wouldn't say that she should have declined the nomination. But it is a bit of a problem when you have based your political career on promoting an abstinence-only agenda to have the fruits of your policies so publicly displayed.

Gosh! This is too wild and crazy! First the rumor and now this! Fact is often stranger than fiction....

Which reminds me of the corny joke about how you tell the difference between and Orthodox, Conservative and Reform wedding - At an Orthodox wedding the mother of the bride is pregnant.

At a Conservative one the bride is pregnant.

At a Reform one the Rabbi is pregnant.

to the public eye, we are still letting our kids get pregnant at age 17 or whatever. in addition to that, we are also promoting underage marriage.

Sure. But even if she did, Bristol is her own person. Teenagers do all kinds of things their parents wouldn't necessarily approve of.

Not in the frummest circle that I can think of do girls or boys get married under 18... and rarely under 20 too...
