I just started phase 1 and I'm so confused about things like chickpeas - can I eat as many as I want? They seem to be on the "allowed" list, but they have so many carbs in them ....? And I saw somewhere online that they're not ok ...?
Also, is sugar-free ice cream ok? 7 grams of carbs per serving.
And about cheese: I can't find low-fat cheese in Israel. The lowest I found is 20% fat for string cheese and 28% for sliced cheese. Can I eat it? I saw somewhere that cheese shouldn't be more than 6 grams of fat per oz, but I can't properly convert the oz to grams! Seriously, I've been working on this all morning. One string cheese is about 20 grams and about 5 grams of fat. Is that ok? And if it is ... does that mean I can eat as much as I want?
Thanks for anyone who can help me ... I need guidance!

I don't really know anything about the diet that can help you (sorry:) But I know they have 9% cheese.

They used to have 9% sliced cheese - is it not around anymore?
To calculate, I would recommend converting oz. to g. - then everything will be in g.
Multiply the number of oz. by 28.35 and that = the number of g.

I couldn't find the 9% in a Hashgacha that we use.
I'll keep looking, though, thanks!
