I didin't really have a favourite. I loved any book I could get a hold of. its funny though cuz I am buying the same preschooler books for my son as I had when I was younger, just for the fond memories they bring me. I wanna share it with him as well..like "the very best place for a penny" the yossi and leibel series the muchnik books.

there are so many more but I cant buy them all at once.

My two favorites are Miss Suzy (for little kids) about a nice squirrel who is run out of her house by bad rats and rescued by toy soldiers and Ballet Slippers (for kids who can read on their own) about a collector who winds up with three little orphan girls.

Of course, I loved the Little Women books, the Little House books, and the Anne of Green Gables books as well.

I LOVED The Babysitters Club. I read all of them (well, all of those that were published until I was 16 or so) I also loved All of a Kind Of Family. My friends all used to read Sweet Valley Twins but my mother said they weren't suitable. I don't blame her. I wouldn't want my dd reading about boyfriends & crushes either.

I read just about anything as long as it wasn't scary.
Gordon Korman was my favorite, and the Narnia series (I tried to prove to my father that it has such good Hashkafas! Oops, I guess you see what you want to see.
Anyone read Roald Dahl's books?
Little Lord Fauntleroy?
The Secret Garden, The Little Princess
The Dark is Rising
How about the Bakers' Dozen series? I loved those because I felt like I could relate because I was the same age as the quints when I was reading them.
I think every book I read became my favorite!
