at what age did your toddlers start using a blanket?

I think dd used a blanket by around 4 months. She needed something up against her face other than my hand! So I bought her one of those little blankets with a bear head that has a very small blanket coming down from it b/c I was afraid that a bigger blanket might C"V suffocate her. By around 8 months, we switched to a real baby blanket
