My grocery only has a blue cover now… and it doesn’t have any numbers on it. How do I know if it’s stage 1 or other?!

Materna has separate stages, but they also have one thats 'one-size-fits-all' which is for all ages. Your grocery probably only had that one, and was out of the 'stages'.

Materna has several coloured covers...blue is dairy, yellow is soy based, and there is a light blue (cornstarch) I think too. AFAIK only the soy comes in "stageless"; the dairy ones are all staged.

I think there's a new version that's come out that is stageless - I'm sure it said sth about it on the new tin. I don't really understand it, but it sounds like they're phasing out the stages.

Would you switch back and forth based on what the grocery has? This is so confusing because it's in Israel and I can't just call them up with these questions!

The old one with stages has a purple cover and the new one without stages has a blue cover.

I am pretty sure purple is Mehadrin and the blue is regular. I see both in stages though. I have a day care baby that uses it, I can check later when they are sleeping bli nadar.

my sil in law asked the company about the stage version and the non-stage version and was told they are only slightly different so she used the non-stage version as it is cheaper. racheleve I think they only make the non-stage version in mehadrin. shaklee I switched once in a while but it made me a drop nervous because I saw the nonstage one had more iron.

OK I checked the 2 cans here. The purple is badatz and chalav yisrael. It says mehadrin under materna. The blue says chalavi and nothing about c'y. They are both staged.

thanks, but this still doesn't show the 'new' version that is non-stage.
there are the purple stage ones that are mehadrin c'y, and the blue stage ones that are not c'y. but there is also another one that I used once which I think is what op is referring to which is mehadrin and non-stage. what I don't understand is why it's so much cheaper. that made me nervous to use it!

The non-stage one is definitely not a new version, its surely been around a few years. Maybe its being discontinued and therefore its not on their website? IDK. What
