Friday Vav Chukas

So I heard something today that I never heard... that Vav Chukas is a day that has a history pf tragic things occurring... so people stay close to home and don't do heavy stuff like hiking, swimming... bogus?

You can probably find info on this in the Sefer Hatoda'ah. For the rest of us, I'm not to worried, it's too close to Shabbos to change plans and I for one have to get back to the kitchen and laundry room soon, so will probably forget about this instantly.

Yes there is definitely a mekor to it. My Zeidy used to warn us that a pregnant woman should stay indoors on this day. It is a sad day in the history of klal yisroel.
