This time I'm newly pregnant again, and still nursing my two big guys (2.5 and 18 months).) |
you are pregnant and nursing 2 children?
and fasting?
I hope you do well...
I found pregnant harder. I miscarried twice becaeu I fasted in early pregnancy.
nursing is ok- I just pump but I find I have no milk the next day. so moitze a fast I drink lots of mothers milk tea to boost up the supply.

I think I can answer my own question now, breastfeeding is definately the better one to fast, but the baby is 7 months old and has solids but he did feed from me 7 I think times today. B"H a very good fast and I also managed to get loads cooked and baked for Shabbos.

That's obviously assuming your baby would consider taking a bottle!
My 7 month old will not take a bottle from anyone and CERTAINLY not from me.
The only time this worked for me was when my first was a month old on Tisha B'Av.

Both are tough. Last Tisha B'av I was pregnant and broke fast after chazos, this year I was nursing and broke the fast around 6PM. (Even though I was bottle feeding milk from the freezer after 2PM)

Both suck for me. I think nursing is worse b/c I have a baby to take care of, too. If I'm pregnant than my youngest is generally over a year old. Right now my baby doesn't take a bottle (oh how I've tried) and I got very close to passing out by 3pm todau\y. So I broke my fast. I was alone the whole day and it honestly became a safety issue at that point. I was close to dropping the baby. And vomitting.
