dont know if I should admit Wink but Oprah magazine is one of my favorites. also Real Simple, Bon apetit, and martha stewart... I have gotten some amazing recipes from the above. Newsweek, once in a while. I love the Audubon and the National geographic too.

and lehavdil...Nshei chabad newsletter of course, Jewish press every week, and whatever little publications end up at my house from my shul.

I don't read it as regularly as the periodicals mentioned.

That is an interesting magazine, though since I'm more inclined toward unnatural Jewish parenting, I don't subscribe, but have read it once or twice. Tongue Out

I read Parenting, Parents, and Child
I also subscribe to a bunch of home decorating magazines (we bought our 1st home 8 months ago): Traditional Home, House Beautiful, Country Home, and Country Living
We also receive Consumer Reports (it helps with big purchases for the house)
The kids get Olameinu, Yaldah, Highlights, and Sesame Street (comes w/ Parenting Magazine)

I hope I'm not affending anyone...
But,
I read:

Good Housekeeping

Family Circle

Parenting

Working Mothers

Reader's Digest

ETC....

Oh I forgot about the non jewish magazines LOL. B"h we don't bring it into the house (so far) which is so hard because I just LOVE to read. But I sometimes get to read the Reader's Digest and the US News when I visit someone. I used to get the Consumer Reports too when we were into buying appliances, which I found pretty helpful.

I am wondering, why is it wrong to bring in magazines such as reader's digest into the home? I am truely curious as to the reasoning. I mean, that magazine is usually pretty clean...

also, what is REAL SIMPLE? never heard of it...

I grew up in a home that got:

New York
New Yorker
Atlantic Monthly
Newsweek/Time
Family Circle
Woman's Day
Good Housekeeping
Prevention
Let's Live
Jewish Observer
Jewish Action
Game
Consumer Reports
Jewish Homemaker
computer magazines

but now ...

I don't buy any magazines but get:

Mishpacha
Jewish Action
Jewish Observer
Horizons
Kashrus

from my parents

though I had (or maybe still have) a subscription from years ago to Natural Jewish Parenting

I also read Beis Moshiach and the N'Shei Chabad Newsletter, YOB Observer, and some of the free Jewish magazines.
