I need an easy cheesy lasagna recipe. I've never made it before so I don't even know where to begin. I'd also prefer if it doesn't require things like fancy cheese or tofu since it'll be hard for me to get things like that. I have tomato sauce, and mozzarella, and cottage cheese on hand though.

Combine the mozzarella and cottage cheese together with an egg.

Boil the lasagna noodles, and then alternate layers of the cheese mixture with the noodles and tomato sauce.

Bake on 350 for around 20 minutes.

Just an FYI, using cottage cheese intead of ricotta cheese will make the lasagna a little more watery, but I prefer it to ricotta anyways.

You do not need to boil the noodles first. This can save you lots of time and effort. Just layer dry noodles, sauce and cheese. When done, add an extra cup of water to the bottom of the pan. Cover tightly and bake at 400 for an hour. Also you can add basil, oregano, black pepper and garlic to the cheese. Also you can sprinkle mozarella on top after the last layer of sauce.

Add about 1 lb cottage cheese and 1 lb of mozzarella cheese, to 1 egg.
You can add 2 Tbsp brown sugar, 2 Tbsp lemon juice, dash of oregano, dash of garlic powder to each 15 oz. can of tomato sauce that you use.
I would use the no boil lasagne noodles (most are no boil) and follow anonymom's directions of adding 1 cup of water (not sure if you need that much water, depends how big a lasagna you are making) to the bottom of the pan and then baking it covered for an hour.
Layer the noodles, sauce and cheese, like everyone said.
