If I have an old TV, is it enough to have a converter box, or do I also need to buy a new antenna for the TV- If so, is there any particular cheap one to buy and if so, where??

can somebody buy me a new tv ...  with this new converter box thingy and a broken tv - it just doesn't pay ...
also if you get cable you don't need a converter ...
