WHen I came home today my decorations were on top of the succah instead of inside, the metal frames busted and the mats flew off. My neighbors succah is on it's side right now.

Ours was being blown and knocked from one end of our gate to the other end, when we woke up.
Dh put it back together and tied it down on all sides. But he kept having to go out to adjust and retie throughout the day.
The canvas is a bit ruined with little rips. The metal frame is a bit out of shape. It's brand new

the winds were 50 mph in cleveland ... but then again I don't have a canvas succah - might as well have a hot air balloon ... up up & away
my succah is grounded - too heavy for flying

and after surviving the horrible windstorm and lots of rain that knocked down several of our neighbors succahs, I guess we figured we did a good enough job with construction, but NOPE. Last night there was a crash and this morning we discovered all the schach inside the succah and one of the center beams cracked. DH is hoping to fix it before shabbos (we eat in the succah on SA), so we'll see . . . .
Mostly I just want it safe, we have nets of lights and stuff that are now all hanging (or supporting some of the schach).
Oh, and plenty of the succas that came down/apart in our neighborhood were heavy wood ones.
