I thought this was beautiful ... rather than a joke ... they weren't even jewish ... imagine how lucky we are to be able to have guests every week and shabbos is our excuse ... to be closer to godliness

Around me many people see shabbes as family time, not as guest time. It's also beautiful and g-dly.
