I want to get my 5 year old son evaluated for behavior issues. He is mostly manageable at home and school, but does have issues in crowds and can manipulate people pretty well. He also seems to show anger/frustration at times.

I am looking for a psychologist/psychiatrist or someone competent to do a full evaluation and that can give some concrete diagnosis/methods to deal with this.

Someone mentioned CounterForce. Did anyone use them? Or am I better off using a private doctor?

Thanks!

How about having him evaluated by the board of ed?
Call Evalcare or any other evaluation agency that is funded by the board of education.
Good luck.

I heard the Board of Ed does not do a full conclusive evaluation.

I think I want to go to a private evaluator, any ideas?

If anyone suspects ADD or the like in a little boy, do they get them evaluated?!

Plese help!

TIA

I wouldn't get a child under 7 evaluated for ADD or ADHD...some of the "symptoms" are just normal for that age...especially for a boy!

something to consider is sensory....if oversensitive to noise of crowds it can make a child lose control...does he exhibit other sensory issues...you can read The out of Sync Child for info on sensory or just go for an eval...GL
