Hey everyone,

I want to get my DH an electric shaver for Father's Day. He has a nice Braun one that is a few years old and to buy the same type would be expensive. I saw some nice ones that are different and not as expensive online but didn't want to buy anything because I know that some electric shavers have halachic problems re: too close a shave, too similiar to a straight razor. Anyone know anything about this? Obviously don't want to ask DH because want to keep the gift a surprise.

Here is an article from the star k about shavers. when I bought ds a shaver, he would have s/o from the yeshiva check it out, I would return it and try again.

I think it can't be the "lift-n-cut" type cuz that is essentially cutting the hair past the skin...and assur.
