Im looking to tutor and specialize in teaching reading. who can I contact regarding classes being given in brooklyn,ny? please let me know.

I don't have a specific recommendation but there are advertisements for such workshops ALL over the frum newspapers and magazines... pick one up and go through them

highly recommend Dr Helene Rabowski (sp?). she calls her program zippety zapper (again, sp?) and gives a 6 or 7 week long training program in brooklyn on sundays, I think only once a year after succos.
try googling but if you have trouble finding her contact info, pm me and I will dig it up.
her program got my kid reading and then I took the training program and really enjoyed it (even though I'm not a professional teacher, I know my younger kid will need help too).
