Has anyone made this chicken? It says to cook for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs and I usually cook my chicken for an hr and a half. Im afraid it will burn or be too well done.

I bake chicken uncovered for about 1 1/2 hours.
But if I want it to be fall off the bone soft, I bake it covered for 2 1/2 hours.
I would prob make the chicken the way the recipe says the first time, see how it comes out, and change if needed next time around.

I made that too (LOVE that cookbook)

yeah it took a heck of a long time to bake.... I personally took it out after about 10-15 minutes uncovered (I mean, after I had baked it for 2 hours covered)

Does this chicken have a winey taste? I'm thinking of trying it out, but my kids won't touch it if they can taste the wine.
