so I love thanksgiving - but don't really wanna cook on a thursday ... [unless I end up at mama's house I don't celebrate]
anyways my new tradition has become to make shabbos chanuka like a thanksgiving dinner - with turkey, latkes, bread stuffing, sweet potatoes, string beans, mushrooms, pumpkin pies - the works ...
trying to pull it off today
I think I can make it

You have a year to get ready for Thanksgiving Chanukah. Maybe you can deep-fry a turkey: Turkey Fryer.

No, really, Chanukah next year comes so early that it coincides with Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving night will be 2 candles. If you had a Balabusta's Daily Organizer calendar (and even if you don't) you could look it up!

I think they need to be replenished every night. By the 8th night, it's either party city with all your friends, or cirrhosis.

Since thanksgiving day is not a holiday here, we do our usual thanksgiving dinner on the following friday night, turkey trimming et al. Here turkeys and cranberry relish are normally associated with x-mas.

I "do" Thanksgiving for Shabbos Chanukah most years. This year turkey was really expensive!

buy a turkey & cut in in half then do 1/2 a turkey [on it's side] ... or a turkey breast ...
everything came out nice & I was relieved that all the kiddies stayed for dinner ...
pleasantly surprised when I woke up to have coffee & there was a cheesecake ~ talk about multi-tasking & forgetfulness
