I thought it was well done. DD, who is 17, found the 'hashkafa discussions' annoying. (BT and FFB neighbors discussing why you do things). We both did not like the ending.

I found it to be with to many characters I kept getting confused

( but then again I was a bit tired when I read it so that could be the reason)

I can be a very critical reader and I really liked this one. Well written, good points, drew me right in. The plot was a bit predictable and the ending was sad, some of the characters were exaggerated but overall, great book. I like books that get me thinking and have character development, and are well written too. The flaws didn't get to me like they do in some books. I highly recommend this book.

While it was an interesting read, the ending was really pathetic. I think she could have grandma do tshuva without dying.
I understand her point was that torah is the most important thing, but honestly, I was totally turned off by the way she brought it out.
It sounded like the ffb kollel couple were being forced to do something they didnt want to do, didnt understand why they were being frum, and didnt have a great marriage.
While the BT couple were more normal, happy, with it and understood the point to yiddishkeit.
