I have a sheitel that is much too dark. It also has a bit too much red tone in it. Can anyone advise me as to how to lighten it? It wasn't expensive so I'm willing to take a chance on doing it myself. I believe it is processed European hair.
I have dyed a sheitel myself before, and it turned out ok. Will a dye that is lighter than the sheitel's color lift the color a bit? Am I totally going to ruin it?

I would spend the money to have someone else fix it. Sheitels get lighter over time so maybe you just want to wear it for a bit and see.
