When you browse the site, do you actually go through the different forums, or do you just view Recent Topics?

I think that many people think that posters aren't responding to their threads because of the section it was posted in, but I think that most people just consistently refresh the New Posts page, so it generally doesn't matter if something was posted in the wrong spot.

I look at the threads that were emailed to me first.
After, I go to the home page and check out any interesting new topics.
Sometimes an old post -in the related topics section- catches my attention.
After that, I go to forum and look at posts from the last 24 hours.

Why 24? Apparently I'm never away from here longer than that. BTW, I passed 1000 posts, but no fanfare. It is an accomplishment, isn't it?

hooray, mumoo! I generally don't notice these things - you gotta tell people - good for you! Smile Now you're officially addicted!
Btw, I go to "posts since last visit" and see which topics interest me.

Yeah, I'm talking about posts since last visit, and also the new topics on the homepage.

I really wish this board was set up so it was easier to view new topics. I hate that when I browse through posts since last visit, and then decide to post something, I have to go back to the homepage and THEN go back to posts since last visit.

Mostly homepage, then posts since last login....I try to keep up-to-date with the threads that I'm "watching"...I usually don't have time to browse the forum - only did that when I first got started on Imamother - when my baby thought it was cute to wake up a couple times a night and not let me put him back down after nursing until I'd held him for a hour or so! B"H, we've gotten past that, so less time for the forum!

The "related topics" also sometimes catch my eye - it's also really funny sometimes to see what's "related" just because there are similar words in the titles! Like "Just fed my baby her first banana" could have "Fed up with my MIL" as a related topic! (made that one up...)

I love the email notifications, it gets my adrenaline pumping, and it also reminds me if I haven’t come to imamother in like a few days!
