What would bother me is if those "cloggers" would be actively smartphon-ing and oblivious to their surroundings while "clogging."

But participating by videoing? Taking pictures? I always think guests might sometimes even capture the moment better than the pro - they know who's who and might just immortalize that impromptu reunion hug while the photographer was too busy getting yet another overhead shot of everything and nothing...

If you have more of an elderly crowd, lower the volume andrequest music with a slightly slower tempo.

I notice most people over 35 drop out of the dancing when the pace picks up.

Offer music with lots of variety.

Something for everyone, especially the kallah!

have fun, mazel tov!

So none of you guys have mother's circles? When the kallah's friends take over her circle and each mother gets a circle of her own friends that is often quieter, and usually farther from the band? Usually populated by women in the age 30-50 or more range?

Love the guestbook angle. Love the idea of guests filming video messages (keep it around during the meal so the dancers can add too!) Love having pics available.

I was recently at a wedding. The bubby circle had the bubbies and a bunch of us ~30 year old pregnant ladies. We danced at a comfortable pace while the 18 year olds flew around their circle.
The kalla had been a babysitter for many of us.

I don't think I've attended a wedding with a sitter. I like my kids with me, enjoying.
