I always wonder about this product. I have never seen a bottle of mustard that is labeled "Dijon mustard". And it's in so many recipes. I use regular mustard, all the time.

I use honey + mustard to get honey mustard which does the trick too.

At our grocery store there's honey mustard, deli mustard, and dijon. It's fairly standard. I have a generic bottle in my fridge.

Isn't Dijon mustard mustard from Dijon?

Maybe originally, but now it's just another kind of mustard, made w/ white wine. It's a finer mustard for cooking and dressings, and it is a very nice flavor, but you're certainly not going to ruin any recipe by substituting regular.

Funny that this came up, I just bought a bottle of Dijon today for the first time, to use in recipes.
