Does anyone know of any good recipes for cupcake frosting, preferably both chocolate and vanilla?

it is not really a frosting but I just dip the cupcakes into melted chocolate and then put sprinkles on top. and as for a cake just wait a little bit a minute or two so that the chocolate hardens slightly and shmear it on the cake and top with your choice easy and less work.

Aliza - you live in Brooklyn so you ought to be able to get "cookie dip" in the grocery or worst case at the Pepper Mill in Boro Park. You melt it down, dip the cupcake and voila! professional looking icing.

I posted a recipe for chocolate frosting last night in the recipe section. It is in the same post as the chocolate cake, just underneath it. Warning: It is very rich and delish so a little goes a long way.
