Thinking to go on vacation to Hershey park this summer with kids and stay overnight. Does anyone have tips on where to stay and if there's a place to get discounted tickets?

Thanks

We stayed at the homewood suites in Harrisburg Pa the past 2 years. It's the cheapest and closest to Hershey park (about 20 min) that accommodated our needs. We were looking for 2 bdrm suite with full kitchen. It's a nice place, has a nice big garden where we were able to eat breakfast and dinner. Kids went rollerblading there and played ball. Pool was quite so we were able to enjoy the pool one day too.
Not sure about discounted tickets. Enjoy!

Thanks for your reply! Was the hotel clean? Fairly new and up to date or did it seem old?

Personally I found the hotels right near Hershey and Lancaster to be packed and crowded. Couldn't use the pool.
We've been happier staying in a property a bit further - like Harrisburg business district - and having a quieter stay with an empty pool.

I was just at Hershey. The kosher consession is open now.
We stayed at the Sheraton inn in Harissberg. There were many frum people there. The rooms were not great they were old and bathroom not cleaned properly the room had a musty smell to it. The air condition was really loud. But the pool was really nice and the kids were able to go swimming in the morning because it was empty.

Update: we stayed in homewood suites Harrisburg west and it was great! Newish, clean, rooms had room for everyone. (Got one bedroom suite). Outdoor Pool was empty and we had a great time in it!

Edit; there are 2 homewood suites in Harrisburg. East and west. East is a little closer to Hershey but I heard it's pretty old looking. Stayed in west and glad I did.
