When we decided to have kids, my DH and I were hardly grown up ourselves. I have many regrets and feel I've ruined my kids. They have suffered from the baggage that their parents carry and now they will carry their own baggage.

All mothers beat themselves up to to some extent.
Today I was talking to my good friend, daughter of big Rav, and she told me that her sister was crying to her today that her oldest is so selfish, never shares with anyone and throws temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way... At 13, she realizes she woke up too late, and wish she had known what she knows know, how to handle parenthood... Even coming from a fantastic home, we all get somewhat mished up when it comes to parenthood.
Don't eat yourself up. Just strive to be the best you can be.

No matter what age you have your kids, you have baggage with you and your kids will have baggage.
I also eat myself up about this things, but bottom line is, that we have to work on ourselves all the time and, if we see that something needs to change or worked on, than do so.
