I once did it , was ok but I think fresh is still better

I've never posted an image before so I hope this works. If not I'll just type out the recipe.

The cream cheese should be soft almost at room temperature and it will be creamy. Put it into the mixing bowl before you let it get soft so that it doesn't stick to the packaging. And let it sit in the bowl until soft

A friend forwarded this recipe to me a few months ago and, inspired by this thread, I finally prepared it for this past Shabbat. The chicken was very tasty and the carmelized onions are wonderful in their own right. I had extra onions in gravy left over and was loathe to throw it out so I froze it. I think I will defat it when I thaw it and serve the onions over white rice.

Thanks! I love this idea. Is it meant to be served hot or cold?

Omg I have no idea what I’m making for Shavuot and didn’t realize it’s so soon. We are in a new place and can’t use our oven on yomtov and I’m someone who does lots of cooking on yomtov normally. Time to get organized and make a plan!

I served them hot, not sure if they'd be good cold or room temp. If you make then ahead you can always try and see how they taste cold.

Having a lot of guests one day, and doing a buffet
Green salad with goat cheese
Broccoli salad
Roasted veggie salad
corn salad
Salmon
Mac and cheese
Rice and lentil bake
Crustless mushroom quiche
tomato, basil and mozzarella
baked eggplant
Whatever desserts I pick up, or someone brings
No clue what I'll serve to my family the other day. Maybe potato leek soup and fettucini.

I'm not a great cook (ie, I don't make it up myself), but I follow directions well. This is the recipe I use:
