Two of my kids had tamiflu prophylacticly when my other one had the flu last year.

Your pediatrician may have prescribed it, but many would not without a positive flu test for that specific child.
Tamiflu comes with it's own possible complications.

Right of course. But using it prophylacticly isn’t unheard of either. I really didn’t want a flu epidemic in my house chas veshalom.
