She's really seemingly ok, feeling ok, just a bad cough and tired. No fever even except for a couple hours yesterday afternoon. She was diagnosed last night. Should I bother giving the tamiflu? The Dr prescribed it, but she hated the first dose last night and threw it all up. I'm asking because it seems her flu is not so bad, so why add the possibility of extra side effects?
What would you do?

She tested positive for flu? If she doesn't usually have serious complications from illness I personally wouldn't give it. My pediatrician is really not in favor for most kids.

She very rarely gets I'll bh, just a little cold now and again. She's seriously not interested in resting and just wants to read or play and go out....

Sometimes kids get a pretty mild flu. Like I said, I wouldn't give it.

Only if you want her to feel sicker from vomiting. If there is someone else in the house who is medically fragile or it would be really inconvenient for them to get sick, I might give it to them. Keep in mind, if they don't get it, they won't be immune to it either.
