I just made a ton of meatballs and when I transferred from the pot to foil pans in order to freeze, there is way too much sauce. I packed each foil pan with a good amount of sauce for serving, and I was thinking to reuse the leftover sauce for the next batch.
Does anyone do this? Any reason not to?

I would think it is fine, just consider the food "dated" the same date as the first (and bring it to a full boil).
