Both (preschool aged) twins are in speech therapy, they have made tremendous improvements, and the therapist mentioned that one twin has graduated. How do I tell my child that he will no longer be going for therapy? He will be so disappointed, especially since his twin will be continuing. If I go the route of fussing over his accomplishments and telling him he doesn't need anymore... How is that to make my other child feel?
Any thoughts/advice/ perspective would be very much appreciated!

That sounds really hard. You sound like a very aware and conscientious mom.
They are lucky to be your kids.

Start separating them in your mind. Try to see them not as twins, to be compared or treated the same way, but as plain siblings. Then however you explain it will come out alright. Neither of you will feel like he's somehow entitled to have what his twin has in the name of fairness.

Is the speech therapy done in school? Perhaps the therapist can continue seeing the first twin, just less often? Like to phase it out slowly?
