Southern California. Licensed secular daycare center open 7am - 6pm, $275/week for toddlers (which is cheap for my area). The infant care at same daycare is $300 something a week. I’d prefer to send my child to a Jewish daycare, but the hours are terrible for working parents, and costs way more. Plus the Jewish daycares are closed too many extra days during the year, requiring extra expense and anxiety finding a babysitter.

Some of them take 6 or more babies so it can be good money for them but the babies really done get proper care when there are too many babies.. others have a spanish lady or a jamaican live in that they can share with another person if they choose to.
Once the child is old enough to go to play group and not need babysitting anymore than the price goes down to $400 or 450 a month till the 3:00 range. That can be a group of 10 or more and possibly assistants etc ... |
Afaik playgroups are between $300 and $350 until 3pm!
Unless you're talking about day care centers? I thought those were much more!

Lakewood is $600 a month for a drop off in home babysitter. The daycares charge about $1300 a month but thats because whoever sends there has CHS and CHS pays half so your paying the same $600 a month in the end

I live in Brooklyn and pay $15/hr plus legal holidays for a full time sitter in my home. The drop off place nearest me that's Jewish charges $8/hr.
