The Gift of Fear by Gavin de Becker rocks!!!
Such hashgocha protis I was trying to remember the name of this book and author a few days ago! All I could come up with was "fear".

Thanks for all your replies and affirmations. At least I know that im not making my weird feelings about him up.
I didnt manage to block him but that doesnt matter anymore. I will be ok and just feel sorry for him. He doesn't seem to have realised yet that my answer was 'no' and thats final, as he messaged me in the eve again, 3rd msg after my negative reply to ask whether I reconsidered.
I hope he will find someone suitable soon.

Unfortunately it sounds like he might need to BECOME someone suitable first... that often takes time, and more insight than he is showing. It’s sad, and I feel bad for people in his position.
OP, you sound kind and understanding. I hope you find the right one soon too.
