Well, the first 2 meals are shabbos so I plan on serving regular shabbos food. I’ll probably add a sweet kugel for Friday night and a salad for shabbos day to make it a little different.
Plus a special dessert.

Cherry meatballs are really Kibbe Cherry (A Syrian dish) but you can use regular meatballs if you don’t live near a Syrian butcher who has them ready made.
Sauté meatballs and 1 onion in oil until meatballs are crispy.
The sauce is:
One can sour pitted cherries
Lemon juice
Prune butter
If you like it very sweet add sugar
Cinnamon
Mix well and pour over meatballs.
Bake 350’ for about an hour.
Honey potatoes
Use a good quality yellow Yukon potatoes. Cube.
Drizzle honey, olive oil, mustard, parsley, salt and pepper.
Bake 350’ 1.5 hrs or until slightly crispy.

I can’t find my recipe that have written down. I basically made it up based off of another recipe I saw (can’t remember which one) I don’t have exact measurements:
1 or 2 flaky dough frozen pie crusts
2 onions
Frozen broccoli florets or chopped
1 can mushrooms
About 6-8 eggs
Around 4 heaping tablespoons mayonnaise
1-2 tablespoons onion soup mix
Pinch of salt and black pepper
Sauté diced onion add broccoli and let it sauté until defrosted and onions are clear. Add mushrooms , let sauté for a few minutes. Pour mixture into two shallow frozen pie crusts or one deep dish frozen pie crust.
In a bowl beat eggs , mayonnaise, onion soup mix and salt and pepper . Pour mixture over the broccoli mushroom mixture in the pie crust, careful it should not spill over the sides . The egg mixture will eventually seep into all the empty spaces.
I usually put a cookie sheet on the oven rack below just Incase it overflows and spills.
Bake uncovered on 350 for about 1 hour . Crust around the edges will be brown and the top of the broccoli mixture should be golden brown to dark brown.

Looks lovely. May I suggest something other than meatballs for the second night? You won't be able to start warming them until after shabbos ends, and shul isn't that long. Grilled chicken (or meat) cutlets will warm faster.

Good point. My kids are super picky but maybe I will have to switch that meal. Thanks for the reminder!
