A few months ago I noticed a red splotch on my husbands arm. He said it didnt itch him so we just kept an eye on it. It didnt spread but didnt go away either.
Two weeks ago I noticed more splotches on his arms, and by now he has them on his legs and stomach. He still says it doesnt itch at all.
The splotches look weird though. Each splotch is a circle of little red bumps around the rim, and the whole middle of the splotch is lighter colored. I've never seen something like this.
He has an appointment with the dermatologist in two weeks. Anyone have an idea what it could be?

Was thinking the same.
Is it scaly? Slightly raised?
If is ringworm it shouldn't be too hard to treat.

Ringworm. Lyme should be ruled out too but I would expect that if Lyme there would be some discomfort or itching with the rashes not to mention systemic symptoms like any of the following: joint pain, neuropathy, fevers, fatigue, and a flu-like illness prior to the rashes arising.

Ringworm or candida. Easiest way to find out is to put antifungal cream on it, it should help pretty quick.

I’ve never encountered a case of scabies where there was only one person in the household that had it And the others didn’t. Get Some lotrimin cream or tinactin spray and apply twice a day for 2 weeks.
