I'm planning to serve fried wontons at the Purim seudah. Anyone have an idea what kind of dipping sauce would go well with them? (The wontons are filled with a ground meat mixture.)

My original thought was duck sauce, but it seemed too sweet. Maybe I'll offer duck sauce and a savoury sauce. CM, my mother also said mushroom sauce...hmmm...

Try this one for a different taste, with a little kick.
Sweet soy sauce:
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp fresh minced ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Jack Daniels (or other whiskey)
Cook soy sauce and ginger together, Bring to a boil. Turn down to lowest heat and add rest of ingredients. Simmer for 20 minutes. Strain mixture and serve
