I'm just curious about this, and thought maybe someone here might know. I work in textbook publishing. I remember back in the day we needed to make sure not to say "Create," at least for anything sold in Texas, because "only G-d can create." Now I'm using some materials from another company and I see "I'm moving with my dads." Now they could have written "parents" and it would have included 2 dads. But they davka said "dads" to be "inclusive." So don't the religious people who don't want "Create" also have something against this?

I don't live in Texas, and I do not work in publishing, but I have never heard that you cannot use the word "create" except in the context of HaShem creating something.

Well that's why I remember it, it's so odd. If they feel so strongly about that though, to the point of not just accepting "Create a graph," how do they deal with this? Shouldn't they be creating an uproar?

They probably won’t create an uproar because they don’t believe in creating anything

I think that’s a valid question. Is it possible it hasn’t been brought to their attention?
