My ds just tested positive for flu. I forgot to ask them how long he has to stay home for? What are the rules with the flu?

I personally never give tamiflu. It tastes vile and causes an upset stomach.
They have to stay home for 24 hours fever free - without pain relievers.

Dr shanik in lakewood says 5 days without Tamiflu. With Tamiflu 3 days and 48 hrs fever symptoms free or 4 days and 24 hrs fever or symptoms free.

With this flu I would say 48 hours fever free. Online I read on medical website 5-7 days after getting sick, with being most contagious the first few days.

There a kosher version of it sold in our local (Brooklyn) health food shop.
I don’t know if it’s the same strength or what, but it’s definitely a good placebo in our fam Wink
