Why can't the regular helper who the child knows very well not be instructed to take special care of that child and the hired one will deal with the less sensitive ones?

The Rav's reply/question.
Im going to leave it until I get back tomorrow evening now.

if it is normal practice for a playgroup owner to go away and leave a new helper in charge then she has to pay

Another reply from the Rav...
Could be 2 different Rabbonim answering.

I was one of the amothers who took beef with OP in the original thread. But in this scenario, I side with OP. The assistant did the right thing in calling the mother if she knows this kid and he was acting out of character. The mother could have refused to pick the child up and told the assistant to deal with him. It was her choice, once she had the info that he was being difficult.

I don't see how this is at all related to OP not being there. The kid started crying an hour after arrival. And if the kid doesn't do well with a sub, that's not OP's problem.

I didn't say that I went out for a hour, I did that once, when I had to take my son to a dentist appointment. We're talking about 6 toddlers, 3 who are 2.5 and 3 are younger but really manageable. I said that I pop out to make supper, or run on a quick errand (grocery store around the corner) do the washing etc whilst popping in and out to be there for the kids.
I do the main things with them like davenning etc.

That’s a lot of popping out I wouldn’t be too happy if I was the parent.
