Sara Yehudis - thanks a ton for the tzimmes recipe. It was a huge hit with my husband. He ate my whole first batch erev YT and I had to make another, that's how good it is. My husband even admitted that imamother is good for something, after all!

My pleasure. It made a hit by us too. I noticed that even the guests, who usually leave over the tzimmes, didn't this time
and thanks sarad for your honey cake recipe, it went over really well too!

My version of tzimmes is candied carrots
I do not have exact measurements.
Cut carrotsinto rounds. if carrots are thick cut into half rounds.
saute` in oil for about 10 minutes. add honey(enough to coat all carrots)
cook till carrots are soft.Sprinkle sugar liberally on the carrots cook uncovered till they begin to brown. Stir every few minutes till carrots begin to shrivel remove from flame.
carrots should be chewy.(but they don't taste like carrots)
This is the second time in many years that it came out perfect. I usually manage to flop it every year.
